The engine lid prop (the bar the holds the lid open) frequently breaks. Gas prop replacements are available either as DIY or from TwosRus.
The props are different for the NA and SC, although the mounting hole is the same. The SC has the JDM prop lid, on the right hand side of the car. The NA is on the left hand side. An NA prop can be made to fit an SC: Put the prop in the mounting hole, and bend it in the middle slightly to make it line up, and grab the plastic head and gently turn it around 180 degrees (pliers might help).
