In freezing weather, leave the pop-up headlights in the locked, fully up position, that way you won't be stuck with headlights frozen down, and thus unusable.
The headlight switch has four positions:
- Off (all the way counter-clockwise)
- Parking lights (1st position)
- On (2nd position). Note that the lights will turn off when you turn the engine off, and open the drivers door; the light mechanism stays up.
- Lock (all the way clockwise). Lights stay up, but are not on.
