Common Oil Leaks

The AW11 MR2 has a few places where it’s not uncommon to find fluid leaks. The most notorious leaks are below:

Distributor

• The O-rings in the distributor are what cause the leak, while the distributor itself still works fine. Toyota will not sell new O-rings without a new distributor, however http://www.kbox.ca/ will supply them at a reasonable price.

Valve cover sealing washers

Oil cooler lines

Axle seals (transmission fluid)
