- Flat-bed trailer: Probably the best option, but these are often not available.
- Dolly: A dolly raises and supports one set of wheels, whilst the other set freewheels on the road. Can be used with no problems. Unless you have modified skirts, ground clearance is not an issue. It’s safer to tow with the rear-wheels on the ground (no issues with moving sterring wheels), but you can either tow with the front wheels down if you are able to lock the steering wheel in a straight position. The MR2 does not have an engine driven transaxle fluid pump, thus the differential is fully bathed in fluid and the trannsmission is perfectly safe while towing with the rear wheels on the ground.
- Can also be towed with all four wheels on the ground.
